http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/06/110620161308.htmThis article is about Graphene, a carbon nano structure, which can in the future replace silicon as the technological fabric of the future. Graphene is a 2-D material composed of single layer carbon atoms. The scientists found a method that directly turns carbon dioxide into Graphene. For them to do this they burn the magnesium in the carbon dioxide and this material is created.
I found this article, on the science daily website, by searching chemistry. I think this is great news, that we can replace silicon, with a better and more reliable material, while getting rid of carbon dioxide. From this article I learned this whole process and how it can be achieved, I learned how Graphene is made and also that it's much better than silicon. While reading this, i thought that it was great they found such a material and i was amazed at how simple the process to getting to the material is. I rate this article a 8/10 it was really interesting and fascinating.
While getting rid of Carbon Dioxide as well. Very interesting material. Great job!
